Hi, I’m Elena Coman.
I’ve worked in Romania’s nonprofit sector for over 20 years, with a focus on educational program design, teacher development, and capacity building. Much of my work has involved supporting computer science and civic education teachers in developing classroom practices that foster critical, creative, and computational thinking.
I currently lead program and partnership development at Asociația Techsoup, where I support the growth of teacher development programs and contribute to shaping strategic learning and evaluation frameworks.
I also support other nonprofits, mainly in Romania, in making sense of their educator-focused programs, helping them reflect, learn and adapt. I draw on realistic evaluation practices and mixed methods, especially classroom observation, interviews, and context-specific data insights.
My work is shaped by a long-standing interest in moral and political philosophy, and by the influence of theories of learning and anthropology.
I’m based in Berlin, and I’m currently pursuing a professional master’s in Monitoring and Evaluation in Germany.
Think I could support your organization’s learning or evaluation efforts?
